A tremendous find. It is almost impossible to expect such reporting from the NYT today. Or from the Irish Times for that matter, although there is always hope.
Still, we need to look at the United Irishmen for Arthur Griffith’s economics, of which he wrote extensively from American and German sources, Friedrich List’s American System of Political Economy.
It seems very few in power in the US, Germany or Eire ever heard of the American System, which FDR and JFK were the last Presidents to engage with.
