A solidarity protest within the international “We are all Greeks” worldwide campaign in support of the Greek people was also organized in Berlin, Saturday, February 18, along with protest events in Leipzig, Dusseldorf and Cologne. During the protest, Mikis Theodorakis’ songs were played
Dozens of Greeks and Germans gathered in Wittenberg Square and expressed their support for debt-ridden Greece outside the Greek Consulate. Protesters said they felt ashamed at way the German government treated Greece, and denounced the extreme austerity measures imposed on the Greek people and apologized for the anti-popular policies of the EU.
